Event Description

In an ever-changing global marketplace, the mentor/mentee relationship can have a significant influence on professional development. Join us as Lisa Book, of Indiana University Southeast, explores the criteria for establishing such a connection, the roles and responsibilities of each party, and strategies for overcoming obstacles during the five phases of a mentoring relationship. After completing this session, you’ll feel ready for the challenge, and we hope you sign up to participate in the IMA Mentoring Program. You’ll be glad you did!

Learning Objectives

After this webinar, you will be able to:

1. Explain the responsibilities of a mentor and a mentee. 
2. Identify criteria for establishing a mentoring relationship. 
3. Describe the five phases of a mentoring relationship. 
4. Recognize the risks of mentoring relationships and name strategies for handling mentoring obstacles. 
5. Demonstrate how to register on the IMA website for participation in the IMA Mentoring Program.
